15 pieces of information in the Public Prosecution’s statement revealing the details of the Al-Ahram Studio fire

A short while ago, the Public Prosecution issued a press release to reveal the details of investigations into a fire Al-Ahram StudioDuring which 15 important information about the case was presented, as follows:

* The Public Prosecution monitored, at dawn yesterday, Saturday, a massive fire breaking out in “Al-Ahram Studio” in the Omraniya Police Department.

* A team of prosecutors moved to inspect the scene of the accident.

* It turned out that a plot of land lined with burned trees and palms contained three buildings, most of which had burned.

* ⁠ The inspection resulted in the fire spreading to ten neighboring properties, including forty-six residential units.

* Nineteen residential units were completely burned, and the rest of the units were partially burned.

* The Public Prosecution asked the security personnel assigned to guard the studio and a number of its employees.

* The security personnel all testified that the fire broke out in one of the studio’s wooden buildings, and soon spread to the rest of it and its surroundings.

* ⁠ The prosecution team moved to Al-Haram Hospital and asked a number of the nine injured in the accident.

* The Public Prosecution appointed experts from the General Department of Forensic Evidence to inspect the scene of the accident and remove traces from it to explain the cause of the outbreak of the fire and the extent of criminal suspicion therein.

* The prosecution ordered the formation of three specialized committees to determine the damage and losses resulting from the fire.

* The first committee from the National Center for Housing and Building Research, the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University, and the Engineering Administration in Giza Governorate, to inspect the scene of the accident and indicate the losses and damages it caused and the properties adjacent to it, and to take all necessary measures to preserve lives.

* The second committee from the Directorate of Agriculture in Giza Governorate to inspect the palm trees and trees at the site of the incident, and to indicate the damage that befell them, and whether or not their presence poses a danger to lives and property.

* The third committee from the civil protection sector to clarify the availability of requirements for preventing fire risks before it breaks out and for them to be subject to periodic maintenance.

* The Public Prosecution commissioned the police to identify those affected by the accident, and also requested investigations into the incident.

* Investigations are being completed and the injured are being questioned.
