Couldn’t affect the game in any way
The 35th round of the top playoffs in the Premier League started tonight (Tuesday), when Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Hapoel Haifa 0:3, who hosted them at Sami Ofer. Robbie Keane’s side continued their positive momentum after winning the championship, recording a third win in a row.
The first half was evenly played as the visitors controlled the ball, and the hosts tried to sting with passing attacks. Towards the end of the half, the Reds from Carmel stepped on the gas and threatened several times the goal of Roi Mishfati who saved the new champion on the way to 0:0 going into the break.
In the second half, Robbie Keane made substitutions and caused Roni Levy’s trainees to completely disappear from the field. Dan Beaton and Usher Davide entered the game just fine and turned the picture around. In the 62nd minute, the winger broke through the wing, delivered a great cross and the inexhaustible Eran Zahavi pushed in from close range to make it 0:1 for the Blue Yellows.
Just two minutes later, in the 64th minute, Beaton put in a brilliant deep ball for Dor Perez to double the lead for Keane’s side. In the 71st minute, it was Davida again who simply abused the Haifa defense, broke through the wing and passed another cross ball which again Zahavi, who if not him, pushed in on the way to a resounding 0:3 against Roni Levy’s stunned group, who stayed until the end of the game. At the end – a pair of great assists for David, and a pair of huge goals by Zahavi, who came close to the title of king of the goals.
In the next round, the final round of the season, the champion will host Benny Rayna and try to end the season with a victory against the team from the sector. On the other hand, Levy’s trainees will host Sami Ofer in the derby against Maccabi Haifa and hope to give the fans in red a sweet ending to a successful season.
