Eli Cohen, spokesman for the southern district in fire and rescue, said:

“The firefighters who arrived at the scene began dividing into work sections and at the same time a large number of water supply vehicles and additional teams of firefighters were launched to control the fire and rescue trapped people (according to the reports).

The commander of the South Tafser district, Itzik Oz, who is managing the incident, is at the scene, and a joint police force was established at the scene with all the rescue forces from the police, MDA, Ihud Hatzla, FKAAR, and more.

The firefighters were divided into a number of work sections where the main effort is locating and rescuing the trapped people who have been reported and are currently classified as missing.
The firefighters work at the same time to prevent the spread of the fire and put it out.

There are about 10 firefighting teams working on the spot along with 6 firefighting teams with water supply vehicles, mortars and firefighting teams from neighboring districts were dispatched to the scene.
At this stage the event is out of control and a large fire is raging in the place and developing under the auspices of the weather and the load of the fire.’
