A new statement from the Astronomy Institute specifying the last days of Ramadan and the date of Eid al-Fitr

The Institute of Astronomical Research, affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, confirmed the birth of the Shawwal crescent immediately after the conjunction occurred at 8:22 pm on the day of sighting, Cairo local time, Monday, Ramadan 29, 1445, corresponding to April 8, 2024.

The institute explained that Tuesday, April 9, 2024, is the completion of the month of Ramadan 1445 AH.

The institute added: The beginning of the month of Shawwal and Eid al-Fitr will be Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
