New private archives were announced by the Moroccan Archive Foundation, saying that the agreement to acquire them was signed by Jamaa Beida, director of the institution, and Hélène Gilly, Lucien Gilly’s heiress.
These private archives include documents related to Morocco and the French presence in a number of regions of the Kingdom, dating back to the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century.
The agreement to obtain these archives, which consist of postcards, studies and antique books, was signed at the request of the deceased, who expressed his desire for these documents to return to Morocco after his death.
