Media reports revealed that Al Ain’s Emirati star, Moroccan international Sofiane Rahimi, has become the focus of interest from a number of clubs, led by Spain’s Sevilla and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad.

According to the same reports, the Emirati Al Ain team player, Sufyan Rahimi, has received interest from several clubs seeking to include him after the distinguished performance he presented in his team’s two matches against Al-Nassr Saudi Arabia in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League.

The Koura Plus website indicated that while Al Ain is preparing to face the winning team from the match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal in the semi-finals, the interest of clubs in contracting with Rahimi has increased, led by Sevilla and Al-Ittihad Jeddah, who have expressed a clear interest in contracting with the player.

Rahimi led his Al-Ain team to victory over Al-Nassr Saudi Arabia by scoring a goal in the first leg and two goals in the second leg, which contributed to his team’s qualification to the semi-finals.

Sufyan Rahimi returned to his remarkable brilliance again yesterday by scoring three goals and leading his team Al Ain to second place in the UAE Professional League after their great victory over Ajman with four unanswered goals in the match that was held at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium.

Rahimi expressed his happiness at being called up to the Moroccan national team roster for the first time during the era of national voter, Walid Regragui, in preparation for the friendly matches between Angola and Mauritania.

Rahimi said in a media statement: “I am happy because I will join the national team. Every player works for his team in order to join the national team and honor his country’s flag.”

He continued: “Praise be to God, I am very happy, and God willing, I will continue this brilliance with the national team and make the Moroccan fans happy.”
