A source at the Ministry of Local Development revealed the fate of the new ride tariff for parking lots and cars in the regions, after raising the price of gasoline, diesel and gas.
In statements to Masrawy on Friday, the source said that directives had been issued to ensure that the new increase in the ride tariff would be proportional to the increase that occurred in the prices of petroleum products.
The source indicated that directives were issued by the Ministry of Local Development to governors and leaders to launch campaigns and monitoring tours of parking lots to ensure that the increase that will be approved is implemented and that drivers do not raise prices.
He pointed out that the governorates have begun announcing the new ride tariffs, and the rest of the governorates will announce successively.
Today, Friday, March 22, 2024, the Petroleum Products Pricing Committee decided to raise the price of gasoline and diesel. According to the committee’s decision, it was decided to raise gasoline prices by one pound, so the value of a liter of 80 gasoline after the increase becomes 11 pounds, and the price of a liter of 92 gasoline after the increase becomes 12.50 pounds, and the price of a liter of gasoline becomes 11 pounds. 95 after the increase of 13.5 pounds.
