The star Sherine Reda’s statements on the “The Oracle” program did not go unnoticed by the star Ahlam, who was keen to respond to them in her own style.
Journalist Basma Wahba confronted Sherine by criticizing the Emirati artist for describing the voice of some muezzins as “loud,” to which Sherine responded, saying, “She is apparently empty,” which prompted Ahlam to attack her through a tweet on the “X” website.
Ahlam wrote on her official account: “Who is the one who is empty? I am empty?! But for you, I will definitely be empty, but why do you listen carefully? God, O God, make them live in their homes. They are present even in Ramadan. I mean the devils.”
She added: “Certainly, anyone who does not know the story should go back and watch Sherine Reda’s interview while she describes the call to prayer as a hellfire.”
Followers interacted widely with Ahlam Al-Qasy’s comment and the response she chose to the Egyptian artist, and the comments were divided between those who praised Ahlam’s words and boldness and praised her stance.
