The draw for the 2024-2025 Saudi Football Super Cup, which was held today, Tuesday, resulted in Al-Hilal, the defending champion, facing Al-Ahly and Al-Taawoun facing Al-Nasr in the semi-finals.
The official account of the Saudi Super Cup on the social networking platform X, formerly known as Twitter, announced the results of the draw and the competition system.
He explained that the semi-finals are held in one round, and in the event of a tie, penalty kicks are resorted directly without additional time.
The champion and runner-up of the King’s Cup and the champion and runner-up of the Saudi Professional League will participate in the semi-finals, and in the event of a team repeating, the next team in the league will be included.
In the past season, Al-Hilal won the league title and Al-Nasr finished the season in second place, and the same two teams are competing for the King’s Cup title in the final match scheduled for next Friday.
Consequently, Al-Ahly and Al-Taawoun teams had the opportunity to participate in the Super Cup after they finished the season in third and fourth place in the league, respectively.
