Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu, said that the change in the United States’ position harms the war efforts and efforts to release prisoners.

The occupation Prime Minister added that America’s failure to use its veto power during the Security Council vote is a clear retreat from its previous position.

The American delegate to the United Nations said that we fully support the ceasefire and facilitating the arrival of aid to the Gaza Strip.

The American delegate added, “We are making diligent progress toward a ceasefire and the release of the hostages held in Gaza,” noting that China and Russia are unable to condemn the attack launched by Hamas on October 7.

The American delegate claimed that China and Russia did not want to contribute to humanitarian efforts, saying: “We did not agree with some members on all the elements of the resolution, so we did not vote in favor of it.”

The delegate to the United Nations added that we want to reach a future in which Hamas does not threaten Israel: “Hamas is a terrorist organization that intends to destroy Israel, and the Security Council has failed to condemn it.”

The American delegate added that today’s Security Council resolution confirms the necessity of commitment to peace during the month of Ramadan.

The Security Council adopted a ceasefire resolution in the Gaza Strip, with the support of 14 countries and the United States of America abstaining from voting.
