An urgent judicial decision regarding the accused in the Habiba Al-Shamaa case

The Public Prosecution ordered that the accused of attempting to kidnap the victim, Habiba Al-Shamaa, be referred to the competent criminal court. To punish him on charges of attempting to kidnap her by force, possession of narcotic cannabis essence in circumstances other than those permitted by law, and driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of that drug.

The Public Prosecution said in its statement that it was proven from the investigations by asking the first person who saw the victim – trying to help her – after she threw herself from the accused’s car, that she mentioned to him that the accused wanted to kidnap her, and she said in text: “Uber wanted to kidnap me,” and that the company’s legal representative “Uber” testified that the accused had previously closed his account through the company’s application, due to the large number of complaints from users of the application against him, but he created another account by using another national number through which he was able to reuse the application, and the Public Prosecution copied a copy of the papers that it allocated to investigate the forgery incident. I also looked at the complaints filed against the accused in the company where he worked, and in one of them I found a complaint by a woman who decided that he had physically harassed her.

Investigations also revealed that the accused used the essence of narcotic hashish, according to the results of the analysis of the blood and urine samples taken from him, as proven by the forensic report.
