Atletico Madrid escapes a historic loss in the King’s Cup

Atletico Madrid survived a historic loss in the King’s Cup after coming from behind against a fourth-tier team into a 3-1 victory in the final hour of the match.

The Atletico Madrid team escaped a historic loss against its host, Cacerinho, which is active in the Spanish fourth division, after it came from a goal down to a three-time win, yesterday evening, Thursday, in the second round of the Spanish King’s Cup.

Caserino took the lead in the 30th minute through Alvaro Garcia, and Atletico Madrid’s response was delayed until the 83rd minute when its French defender Clement Lenglet scored the equaliser.

The hosts were forced to complete the confrontation with only ten players after Jaime Gonzalez was sent off in the 85th minute of the match, so the visitors took advantage of the numerical deficiency and scored two goals in stoppage time.

Adrian Perez Guerra, Cacerinho’s player, gave Atletico the lead by mistake through his own net in the 90th + 3 minute, before Argentine Julian Alvarez added the third goal in the 90th + 6th minute of the match.

In the same scenario, Osasuna succeeded in reaching the round of 32, after its exciting victory over its host Sueta, which plays in the third division, with a score of 3-2.

Suita took the lead with goals from Redro and Ruben Dibez in the 41st and 69th minutes, before Ante Budimir scored the first goal for Osasuna in the 84th minute, and three minutes later Raul Garcia scored the equalizer for Osasuna.

In the third minute of stoppage time for the second half, Suita player Redro scored Osasuna’s third goal by mistake against his team.
