Because of the goatee poem, Noha Nabil suffered and cried for 3 years

Khabarni – The Kuwaiti poet and media personality of Egyptian origin, Noha Nabil, topped the trend after speaking about a poem she had published since childhood, entitled “This is the one who passed in front of me – the goatee.”

Noha Nabil, the fashionista and businesswoman, was a guest on Dana Al-Tuwaresh’s podcast, entitled “Dana Cast,” accompanied by her daughter Dana, and she spoke frankly during the meeting about many matters related to her personal and professional life.

She explained that the most difficult and harsh stage that she went through in her life was the stage when she entered the field of poetry, and she decided to leave this field forever, explaining that it is an extremely difficult, exhausting and harsh field for women, and exposes women to racism, noting that she entered the field of poetry when she was a child, influenced by her family, and her grandfather. Her mother’s father was a poet, and she participated in the Kuwaiti program “Mama Anissa” for children.

Noha explained that she was trained by the Kuwaiti popular poet Nasser Kreidi Fahd Nasser Al-Amri Al-Subaie, founder and editor-in-chief of Al-Mutafil magazine.

Noha said that she faced the meaning of harsh criticism after she said “The Goatee Poem,” stressing that Nasser refused to publish it in the magazine, and it never saw the light of day, until after she recited it for the first time at a poetry evening in Salalah live, after which she was subjected to a torrent of criticism and bullying. She suffers from it and cries for 3 consecutive years, noting that the poetry press is cruel.

Noha said that the poem was not serious, it was just an attempt.

It was stated at the beginning of the poem: “This man is passing in front of me, and he has a combative look… He has a beautiful helmet with the fullest expression on his face.”

At the same time, Noha confirmed that the poem spread widely, and many people continued to repeat and exchange it for 20 years, noting that she published this poem when she was 17 years old.

Noha pointed out that she had never seen interaction with one of her poems like what happened with her poem “The Goatee,” even with her poem that she published upon her retirement from poetry, entitled “Childhood Dream.”
