Huge fire in Sde Uzia and Ezerikam moshavim: warehouses go up in flames, there is a fear of being trapped. As of Monday afternoon, the fire brigade is unable to control the flames.

At the Israel Fire and Rescue Center 102 in the South District, a large number of calls were received about a very large fire in the warehouses in Moshav Sde Uzia and a serious fear of being trapped. Many fire crews were rushed to the scene following the many reports and the fear of being trapped in the compound. The fire spread to the neighboring Moshav Azrikam.

The firefighters who arrived at the scene began dividing into work sections and at the same time a large number of water supply vehicles and additional teams of firefighters were launched to control the fire and rescue trapped people, according to reports from local residents.

The commander of the South Tafser district, Itzik Oz, who is managing the incident, is at the scene, and a joint police force was established at the scene with all the rescue forces from the police, MDA, Ihud Hatzla, FKAAR, and more.

The firefighters were divided into a number of work sections where the main effort is locating and rescuing the trapped people who have been reported and are currently classified as missing. The firefighters work at the same time to prevent the spread of the fire and put it out.

About 10 fire brigades are working on the spot together with 6 fire brigades with water supply vehicles, anti-tank weapons and fire brigades from neighboring districts were rushed to the scene. At this stage the event is out of control and a large fire is raging in the place and developing under the auspices of the weather and the load of the fire.
