Sources revealed to “Youm7” that Ambassador Badr Abdel Aati will be appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs in the new government of Mostafa Madbouly, and the Ministry of Immigration will be added to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He holds the position of Egypt’s Ambassador to Brussels and has contributed significantly to the development of bilateral relations between Cairo and the European Union countries over the past years.


He served as Egypt’s Ambassador to Germany between 2015 and 2019 and made significant efforts in launching Egyptian-German relations towards a broader horizon.

He assumed the position of Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He holds a PhD in International Relations from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science in 2003 from Cairo University in Egypt.

Master’s degree in International Relations in 1996 from Cairo University and Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1987 from the same university.
