The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that the draw for the round of 8 for the Champions League and the Confederation Cup (Confederation) will be held on March 12 in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
CAF stated on its official website today, Tuesday, that the draw for the quarter-finals for the two tournaments will be held in Cairo.
CAF explained that it qualified for the round of 8 in the Champions League: Sun Downs of South Africa, Mazembe of the Congo, Asec Mimosas of Ivory Coast, Al-Ahly of Egypt, Petro Atletico of Angola, Esperance of Tunisia, Simba of Tanzania, and Young Africans of Tanzania.
He added that the teams qualifying for the round of 8 in the Confederation Championship are Algeria’s USM Algiers, Zamalek, Egypt’s Future, Ghana’s Dreams, Libya’s Abu Salim, Morocco’s Nahdet Berkane, Nigeria’s Rivers United, and Mali Stadium.
