Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega signs a contract to renew his contract with the team and closes the door on the chances of his departure.
A source from Manchester City told… FilGoal.com: “The German goalkeeper will sign the renewal contracts tomorrow, Monday.”
He explained, “City aims to close the door to the departure of its goalkeeper in light of the Saudi League teams’ interest in obtaining his services.”
He concluded, “Ortega’s contract with City expires in the summer of 2025 before renewal.”
The 31-year-old goalkeeper played 20 matches this season, keeping 8 clean sheets and conceding 20 goals.
The German contributed to achieving the English Premier League title with his saves against Tottenham after participating as a substitute in the last minutes for Ederson.
Ortega joined City in the summer of 2022 from Arminia Bielefeld in Germany. He participated in 34 matches and won 6 different titles since then.
