Saudi model and content creator, Rumi Al-Qahtani, has announced her participation in the Miss Universe competition scheduled to be held in Mexico next September, making it the first participation of a Saudi citizen in this competition, according to the British newspaper The Independent.
Al-Qahtani (27 years old) wrote in: Her account On Instagram, which is followed by about a million people: “I am honored to participate in the Miss Universe International 2024 competition. This is the first participation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
Al-Qahtani’s participation comes after Participation of Miss Bahrain For the year 2023, Loujain Yaqoub, who was the first woman to represent her country in the Miss Universe 2023 competition, which was organized in El Salvador, and was crowned by Shinice Palacios, from Nicaragua.
Al-Qahtani has previously represented the Kingdom in many international competitions, such as Miss Asia in Malaysia, Miss Arab Peace, Miss Europe, Miss Arab Unity, and Miss Middle East.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in dentistry and is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
