Former NBA player Drew Gordon, the brother of Denver Nuggets’ star Aaron Gordon, was killed in a car accident Thursday afternoon in Clackamas County, according to the Clackamas County sheriff.
According to authorities, Gordon was involved in a two-vehicle crash involving a Vanderhall Carmel three-wheeled autocycle and a GMC Sierra pickup truck in an incorporated area of Clackamas County. Gordon, 33, was the driver of the Vanderhall and died at the scene.
The driver of the Sierra, Rodrigo Navarro Quintor of Oregon City, and a passenger were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office preliminary investigation indicates Gordon’s Vanderhall crossed over the center line and collided with the truck. The report also said impairment does not appear to be a factor.
Gordon played nine games for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2014-15 season. He also played in the G League, along with playing in Serbia, Sardinia, Turkey, France, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and three teams in Russia.
