(Gray News) – A 19-year-old actress is on life support after falling from a fifth-story balcony walkway Sunday at a hospital in Vancouver.
Mamie Laverock is best known for her recurring role as nursing student Rosaleen Sullivan on the Hallmark Channel series “When Calls the Heart,” according to People.
A GoFundMe page organized by her family said Laverock “sustained life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries and is currently on life support.”
Laverock’s family explained that she had already spent two weeks in “intensive treatment” in the hospital due to a “medical emergency” when she fell from the balcony on May 26.
The GoFundMe says Laverock was “escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories.”
It’s unclear what Laverock’s initial medical emergency was or why she was in the hospital.
According to Variety, Laverock appeared in nine episodes of “When Calls the Heart” from 2014 to 2023. Her other credits include “This Means War,” “A Series of Unfortunate Events” and “The Hollow Child.”
