Engineer Hazem Mohamed Hassan Al-Ashmouni assumed the position of Governor of Sharkia in the government of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, succeeding Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab.

Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni is one of the veteran local cadres, distinguished by his long experience in local administration at various levels. His last position was Secretary General of Cairo Governorate, then he assumed the position of Director General of the Planning Department in Beheira Governorate, then Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing. He is also a member of the Engineers Syndicate.

Years ago, a decision was issued Minister of Local Development He was appointed as the head of Burj Al-Barullus City in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, then as the head of the Second District of El-Mahalla in Gharbia Governorate.
For his excellence in local work, he was appointed Assistant Secretary of Beheira, then Secretary General of the same governorate and then Cairo.
