A “video” clip circulating on social media showed Monson declaring his conversion to Islam and reciting the two Shahadas inside an Islamic center amidst shouts of praise and praise from his fans.
“I intentionally converted to Islam, and I want to stand shoulder to shoulder with my brothers during this complicated time…I’ve been thinking about it a lot, but this is a crucial step,” Monson said.
