Interior Minister Arbel in Hebron: “We are committed to continued development and settlement”

Interior Minister Moshe Arbel toured Hebron and Kiryat Arba yesterday (Tuesday). During the visit, the minister met with the heads of the local authorities and visited the Cave of the Patriarchs.

Minister Arbel toured Hebron accompanied by the head of the Hebron Council, Eyal Gelman, and received an overview of the expansion of Jewish settlement in the area. “The momentum of building, developing and deepening our roots here in the Holy Land is amazing,” said the minister. “Seeing the development in the market, in the cave, in the cemetery – it warms the heart.”

In Kiryat Arba, the minister held a working meeting with the head of the council Israel Bramson and the senior management. The discussion focused on the challenges facing the council, including the approval of the 2024 budget, streamlining the authority’s financial situation, and examining the council’s inclusion in the mirror plan.

“Our commitment to Kiryat Arba-Hebron is unquestionable, both historically and topically,” Minister Arbel stated. “We are here to jointly promote unique solutions to create anchors and give tools to lead this place to growth and prosperity.”
