On the occasion of International Women’s Day today, March 8, the artist presented Dr Issam Darwish, Two statues depicting the character of Egyptian women, and the works are displayed in Al-Mashhad Gallery in Zamalek, which opened last Wednesday in the presence of a large number of plastic artists, media figures, and some public figures.
The visual artist Issam Darwish explained, in exclusive statements to “Youm7,” that the two statues are a depiction of women’s struggle, their giving, and their ability to sacrifice and exert effort.
The exhibition includes the works of many visual artists, including: Adam Haneen, Farouk Hosni, Sabri Mansour, Adel Al Siwi, Abdel Aziz Saab, Adel Tharwat, Issam Darwish, Jihan Suleiman, Hassan Kamel, Tariq Al Sheikh, Reda Abdel Rahman, Naji Farid, Khaled. The artist, Issam Darwish, worked as a teaching assistant in the Sculpture Department, Faculty of Art Education, Helwan University, an assistant professor in the Sculpture Department, Faculty of Art Education, Helwan University, and a professor in the Sculpture Department, Faculty of Art Education, Helwan University. He presented many exhibitions, including (On Plants) in the (One Horizon) hall in the Muhammad Museum. He participated in the implementation of some artistic logos for some bodies and institutions, such as the logo of the Al-Ahly Club – Air Force House – State Security Investigations, and participated in the implementation of some decorations in cinema and theatre. He designed and implemented the medal of the Sculpture Symposium in Aswan in its third session, and a member of the Supreme Committee of the sixteenth International Sculpture Symposium in Aswan. 2011, member of the Board of Trustees of the Adam Haneen Foundation for the Arts and treasurer. He was commissioned to design and implement a sculptural work of granite to be placed in front of the University of Edfu.
