Books – Moataz Abbas:
The artist, Karim Abdel Aziz, revealed the scenes of his proficiency in the Hebrew language in order to participate in the movie “The Cousins”, with the artist Sherif Mounir.
“Abdulaziz” said in his interview with the “BigTime Podcast” program, with the journalist Amr Adeeb, broadcast on the “MBC1” channel, on Tuesday evening, that director Sherif Arafa asked him to learn the Hebrew language in a period of a month and a half, continuing: “They brought me a doctor from the University of… Cairo, and I spent a month and a half learning, so that I could say the introduction that I said at the beginning of the film.”
He added: “Grammar and pronunciation in the Hebrew language are closer to the Arabic language. I studied a page and a text written in Hebrew about the Arab-Israeli conflict, but in order to film the scene, I changed the Hebrew speech to words written in Arabic so that I could pronounce it.”
He continued, sarcastically: “Of course, the Israelis then included the biographies of me, Sherif Mounir, and Mona Zaki in the news and said that we were anti-Semitic, and in Al-Zaybak they spoke about me and Sherif…they were very consoling of me.”
Karim Abdel Aziz is participating in the series “Al-Hashashin”, which includes a large group of artistic stars, most notably Fathi Abdel Wahab, Nicolas Moawad, Mirna Nour El-Din, Ahmed Eid, Islam Gamal, Mohamed Radwan, Sami Al-Sheikh, Omar El-Shenawy, Nour Ihab, Suzanne. Najm Al-Din, Yasser Ali Maher, Basant Abu Pasha and a large number of artists and guests of honor. It is written by Abdel Rahim Kamal and directed by Peter Mimi.
