Lehi Hanoch passed away after a long battle with the disease



Leahy, a poet, screenwriter and director, passed away at the age of 75 after a long battle with a serious illness. She is survived by a daughter, two grandchildren and two brothers. Hanoch signed a series of films that she created and produced, including: “Big Children” (1976), “A Girl Looking for an Address” (1977), “The Lost Dreams of the Upper Street” (1978), “Manana” (1979), “Monologue” of a young woman” (1981), a “real novel” released in 1988 in which she presented an intimate portrait of Shalom Hanoch, her ex-partner, during a concert tour he held that year, and “Adam Circus” (1994).

She also left her mark on Israeli culture through writing. Among the books of poetry she left behind: “Bovovah Hita” published in 1992, “Mat’am HaTanaim” 1991-1998, “Shirim” (The United Kibbutz, 1999), “Cello Section” (Hamad Books, 2005) and “Full Naked Novel ” (Hamad Books, 2012). Her latest book, “Like a wild animal, like an animal”, published last year (2023), is a photo-novel with photographs of the late Eitan Lifshitz, alongside words, letters and drawings.
