Football star Kylian Mbappe could receive a signing bonus worth at least £85 million ($108.4 million) over the life of his five-year contract after completing his move to Spanish club Real Madrid, according to media reports.
Sky Sports reported that the French striker will receive a signing bonus of just over 85 million pounds from Real Madrid, and the club is expected to pay that amount in installments during the term of Mbappe’s contract.
While the British Broadcasting Corporation reported “BBC” Mbappe will receive a bonus worth 150 million euros ($162.9 million) that will be paid over the next five years, at 15 million euros per season.
This is after Real Madrid confirmed on Monday in a brief statement that an agreement had been reached for Mbappe to play with the club during the next five seasons, without revealing any financial details.
Mbappe, who is 25 years old, is expected to officially join Real Madrid on a free transfer when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of this month.
“Mbappe” wrote on social media that signing for the club was a dream come true, and he wrote on the “X” platform: “I am very happy and proud to join my dream club, Real Madrid.”
