Member of Knesset Sharan Heschel about her grandmother who lives in France: two Arabs attacked her, punched her in the face and spat on her

MK Sharan Hashakal told about her 88-year-old grandmother who lives in France and was attacked for being Jewish: I thank God because it could have ended much worse.

Last night (Wed) it was announced that the grandmother of Knesset member Sharan Haschel (the state right), an 88-year-old Jewish woman living in France, was attacked by Muslims in Paris. In a conversation with Nissim Mashal and Geulah Ibn Sa’ar on 103fm, Shekhel shared the difficult incident.

According to her, “My grandmother is a traditional woman and identified in the neighborhood as Jewish. She went out to do blood tests, and two Arabs attacked her from behind – they punched her in the face, kicked her, called her a ‘dirty Jewess’ and spat on her. It was a violent attack.”

She later stated that “she is fine, I thank God because it could have ended much worse. A Jewish organization in France took her to the police to file a complaint. I have no hope that the French government will handle this case, I think they are trying to hide it – after all, for decades the Jews suffering from violence”.
