Iranian politician, born in 1955, close to the Supreme Leader of the Republic Ali Khamenei. He was a prominent officer in Revolutionary Guards during The Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988) He also took over the management of the health department in his hometown.
His star shone after assuming the presidency of the “Committee for Implementing the Imam’s Orders.” Khomeini“, the financial arm of the country’s Supreme Leader’s Office, from 2007 to 2021, and was appointed by the President Ibrahim Raisi On August 8, 2021, as his first deputy.
Birth and upbringing
Muhammad Mukhber was born on September 1, 1955, in the city of Dezful, located north of Khuzestan Province, southwest of the country.
He grew up in a conservative, religious family, and his father, the scholar Abbas Mukhbar, was one of the leading Shiite religious scholars in his hometown. He is married, but there is no information about his wife and the date of his marriage. He has two sons: his eldest daughter, Taiba, and her brother, Sajjad.
Study and scientific training
Muhammad Mukhbar entered a primary school in his hometown, then moved to a city Ahvaz The center of the oil-rich Khuzestan Province, where he completed the preparatory stage, before continuing his academic studies. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and a master’s degree and doctorate in management and planning from Shahid Beheshti University.

Jobs and responsibilities
Mokhbar initially served in a number of government positions in Khuzestan Province. He was the commercial assistant to the president of the Mostazafan Foundation, then general manager of the communications company in the city of Dezful, before moving to the city of Ahvaz to work as executive assistant and then general manager of the communications company in the province.
He was also entrusted with the presidency of the Administrative Council of Sina Bank in the private sector. He was not well-known in his previous positions, but his star shone when he moved to deep commercial institutions close to the office of the Supreme Leader of the Republic, Ali Khamenei.
Mokhbar’s professional life began with him assuming the position of assistant president of the “Al-Mustazafan” Foundation for commercial affairs and its transportation assistant, before Khamenei appointed him in 2007 as head of the “Implementing Imam Khomeini’s Orders” committee concerned with managing funds and property confiscated from the Shah’s regime. Muhammad Reza PahlaviHe remained in this position until 2021.
Persian-language Iranian media reports indicate that the Committee for Implementing Imam Khomeini’s Orders paid great attention to the reconstruction of deprived areas and the implementation of development projects there during the reign of Mokhber.
Her duties also expanded and she became active in several fields, including the health sector. She worked on the first local vaccine project against the Corona virus (Covid-19) under the title “Ko Iran Barakat”, and his daughter Taiba was the first volunteer to receive the first dose of the vaccine.
After his victory in the 2021 presidential elections, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi appointed him as his first deputy, and he is also a prominent member of the Expediency Discernment Council.
Western sanctions
Insert European Union In July 2010, Muhammad Mukhbar was included in the list of individuals and entities that he imposed sanctions on and accused of involvement in “nuclear or ballistic missile activities.” Two years later, he removed his name from the list.
