“My friends from the regulars are there, so I am too”: Major General (Res.) Ader Gabriel will be laid to rest

Major (ret.) Ader Gabriel, 24 years old, from Caesarea, a fighter in the 6828th patrol battalion in the Bislah Brigade (828), was killed in battle in the north of the Gaza Strip, as a result of an encounter with terrorists. Adar left behind his parents and three sisters.

“We are shocked, I only saw him yesterday when they gave him a 24-hour leave before entering Gaza again. He was an amazing child. He loved the sea very much, he loved to surf and he went surfing all over the world. Now he will be buried in Caesarea by the sea,” said family member Nachshon Alankwa .

“He insisted on military service despite his parents’ anxieties, especially since the events of October 7. He has been in the reserves ever since with a month’s break in the middle to refresh. A month ago he was drafted again. His parents kept asking him not to enter Gaza because they were very afraid. But he insisted He said: ‘My friends are there, so I’m there.’

The Caesarea Development Company stated: “The Caesarea Development Company shares in the grief of the Gabriel family for the death of their son, the late Colonel Ader Gabriel, a resident of Caesarea, who acted with courage and ferocity at the front of the fighting against the enemy.”

His funeral will be held today (Friday) at the cemetery in Caesarea.
