Dutchman Van Nistelrooy deleted a photo of himself on social media in which he appeared wearing disguises and with his face painted black, after he was appointed interim coach of Manchester United.
Nistelrooy, the former Manchester United striker, worked for a few months as an assistant to his compatriot Erik Ten Hag, who was dismissed on Monday, and will now coach the team temporarily until a new coach is appointed.
The British newspaper “The Telegraph” reported that the new responsibility prompted the Dutchman to change and arrange his accounts on social media, as he deleted some photos, including “blackface”, dating back to 2013.
Rudd, who wore the costume as part of a charity event, posted the pictures at the time and wrote: “I’m in hospital with gifts for young and old.”

In the Netherlands, Nesterloe’s home country, the issue of black face dye raises widespread controversy, as it is often considered offensive.
During the Euro 2024 tournament, a number of Dutch fans were subjected to severe criticism for disguising themselves as former Dutch international player Ruud Gullit, and painting their faces black.
At the time, former midfielder Gullit did not show any discomfort, and Humberto Tan, a member of the Committee Against Racism in Football, explained that these costumes were intended as a compliment.
In an interview with De Telegraaf, Humberto said: “Putting makeup on blackface is an unattractive phenomenon, but in Gullette’s case it was meant as a tribute. I think you should look at it that way.”
In his first match as interim coach, Nesterlui succeeded in leading Manchester United to the quarter-finals of the English League Cup after defeating Leicester City 5-2 yesterday, Wednesday, in the round of 16 of the competition.
