The great artist Sherihan commemorated the death of her brother, musician Omar Khorshid, who passed away in 1981, in a horrific traffic accident after returning from work in one of the major hotels on Haram Street.
Sherihan posted a photo of her brother through the story feature on her Instagram account, with the comment: “As a favor and not an order, I hope you pray and recite Al-Fatihah for my brother Omar Khurshid.”
Then she published another picture of him, and commented on it by saying: “On this day 43 years ago, the sky lost its moon… Omar Khurshid, may God have mercy on him, forgive him, and grant him peace in his spacious paradise… Omar Khurshid lived like a life.”
Then, Sherihan published on the home page of her Instagram account a photo from her childhood that she shared with her brother, and commented on it with these poignant words: “Omar Khurshid is my blood and all my details.”
It is noteworthy that Sherihan received the news of the death of her brother, Omar Khorshid, while she was presenting the play “Sk Ala Banatak” with the late great star Fouad Al-Muhandis. At that time, she suffered a severe nervous shock from which she continued to be treated for a long time, as she always said that Omar was one of the most important pillars of her life.
