Sundowns and South Africa midfielder Teboho Mokoena spoke about his team’s draw with host Young Africans in the African Champions League.
The two teams tied 0-0 in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the tournament, making the return round decisive and open to all possibilities for both teams.
Mokoena said in statements to his club’s official website: “We did not create as many scoring opportunities as we used to.”
He added: “The opponent was playing aggressively in defense and midfield and did not let us play in our usual style. They forced us to play on the sides, and this is not our usual style.”
He continued: “We would have liked to score a goal away from our home stadium to make things easier for us in the return leg, but now we have to win at home in order to qualify.”
