Jude Bellingham, the Real Madrid star, broke into a fit of tears immediately after his team’s match against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final.
Real Madrid won the Champions League title for the 15th time in its history, after achieving a difficult victory over Dortmund 2-0 at Wembley Stadium in London.
Television broadcast cameras captured images of Bellingham bursting into tears after the referee blew the final whistle for the match, as he could not contain himself after winning the first champions title in his career.
Bellingham said in television statements after the match: “I am trying to be a role model for my brother. This is the best night of my life. I am very grateful.”
“You live life with a lot of people who tell you that you can’t do things (they break your resolve), nights like this make you realize that you are okay,” he added, tearfully.
Bellingham joined Real Madrid at the beginning of this season from Dortmund, and scored 23 goals and provided 12 assists in 41 matches in various competitions (he scored 4 goals and made the same in 10 Champions League matches).
