Books – Muhammad Shaaban:

It took 72 hours for the criminal investigation officers in Giza, led by Major General Hani Shaarawi, to decode an unidentified charred corpse next to the pasta factory, and it turned out that 3 defendants, including a girl, were behind the crime.

The beginning goes back to a report received by Major General Muhammad Al-Sharqawi, Director of Giza Investigations from the Rescue Police Department, that an unidentified charred body was found at the bottom of Al-Munib Circle.

The inspection of Lieutenant Colonel Sameh Badawi, the inspector of the Talbiyah and Omraniya division, did not find the identity of the owner of the body. “The fire did not leave a place in his body, regret,” he told the head of the sector’s investigations, so the journey of searching for a needle in the “haystack” began.

Reviewing possible itineraries and transcribing surveillance cameras by Major Fawaz Hussein, Assistant to the Omraniya Investigations, held the end of the thread. Detectives discovered a motorcycle disposing of the body at the same time as finding it.

Research and investigation efforts revealed what was hidden: the victim had a financial dispute with a dangerous registrant, after which he decided to take revenge on him and obtain anything that would relieve his grief.

He lured the victim to his residence and strangled him with the help of his friend, so that a girl who had a relationship with one of them took the role of facilitating the task of transporting the body from the crime scene. She brought a motorcycle and asked its driver to help her move trash from the apartment so they could move on to the next part of their plan.

No sooner had the vehicle driver left than the main accused set fire to the victim’s body to hide his features. Before that, he seized the key to his apartment to steal what he could carry, thinking that he had committed a complete crime, but the silent witness, the “surveillance cameras,” led the three to the department’s cell.
