Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, received today at the Council of Ministers headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, members of the team organizing the “Iftar on Ramadan 15 in Matareya” ceremony in Cairo Governorate, which was held the day before yesterday for the tenth year in a row, in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports. .

The Prime Minister welcomed the Iftar organizers, expressing his appreciation for the great effort they are making. In order to organize this huge celebration in which thousands of residents of the Matareya region and other governorates participate, as well as from different nationalities and religions, stressing that this celebration expresses the interconnectedness and cohesion between the people of the region, and also expresses the spirit of cooperation that distinguishes Egyptians in general, especially in times of Crises and occasions, which increases the bonds of love and brotherhood and the spirit of citizenship prevails among everyone.

Dr. Mustafa Madbouly expressed his appreciation for the meeting with the organizers of the “15 Ramadan Iftar in Matareya”, which is a great initiative that reflects the authenticity of this people and their civilization, stressing that he followed many media materials about the Matareya Iftar party, including photos and videos, which showed the cohesion that brought together all the sects of the people. For their part, the organizers of the “Iftar on Ramadan 15 in Matareya” celebration expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Prime Minister for the warm reception and welcoming them to the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, stressing that this reception carries great moral appreciation for them, and increases their insistence and determination to continue this work to help in Breaking the fast for thousands of fasting people every year, in which the people of the region, including Muslims and Christians, participate.

The organizers of the annual Iftar celebration explained that this year’s celebration received large numbers from various governorates, and under the slogan “The Sweet Gathering,” a number of public figures participated, noting that things have become more organized thanks to the experiences they have gained over the past years. The work has become divided into several committees, with each committee specializing in a specific task. There is a special committee for cooking food, another for organizing the party, and a third for distributing meals, in addition to a committee for decorating the streets, and other committees.
