Books – Mahmoud El-Shorbagy:
Dr. Amr Abdel Moneim, the lawyer for the Uber driver accused of the attempted kidnapping of the Shorouk girl, Habiba Al-Shamaa, stated that his client was ordered to renew his detention for 15 days, pending investigations.
Dr. Amr Abdel Moneim added to “Masrawy” that investigations into the incident of the Shorouk girl, “Habiba Al-Shamaa,” are continuing until the girl’s medical condition stabilizes.
He pointed out that the girl’s statements have not been heard yet due to her still unstable health condition. Adding: The investigating authorities were unable to interrogate the girl because she had been in intensive care since the day of the accident.
Amr Abdel Moneim continued: A drug test was conducted on the driver to reveal whether or not he had taken any narcotic substances. The analysis result was positive.
Amr Abdel Moneim ruled out the kidnapping charge in the incident, “No one would kidnap someone in his car, because all his information will be known.” Indeed, this is what happened with his client when the detectives went to arrest him.
He said that the driver was driving the girl to her destination, and while driving, he felt cold, so he closed the car window. While doing so, he smelled cigarettes in the car, so he sprayed a perfume he had in his possession. During that time, he was surprised when “Habiba” jumped out of the car. “There is no drug that sprays.”
Habiba Al-Shamaa was riding in the car of a driver working through the company’s smart application on the way to Al-Rehab, where she feared what she considered a kidnapping attempt, so she jumped out of the car, which led to her suffering fractures and a brain hemorrhage, as a result of which she was hospitalized.
