Walid Abdullah, the goalkeeper of the Saudi Al-Nasr Club, announced the official end of his association with the latter through a message of thanks sent by the goalkeeper through his account on the social networking program “Snapchat,” in which he wrote, “Thank you, Al-Nasr International fans, thank you to everyone. I was happy to be with you, and with the victories and championships that we achieved.” Together, I entrust you to God and forgive me for my shortcomings.”
The 38-year-old joined Al-Nasr in 2016, coming from Al-Shabab, for whom he played between 2006 and 2015. The veteran goalkeeper played 80 matches for Al-Nasr, during which he conceded 94 goals and scored 24 clean sheets in 24 matches, while he played for Al-Shabab in 248 matches, in which he scored 88 clean sheets.
The goalkeeper, who was known for his fun with his teammates, defended the colors of the Saudi national team through the U-23 team in 11 matches, and the first team in 72 matches from 2007 until 2018, where he was on the list that helped the Saudi national team qualify for the 2018 World Cup, and Walid was famous for his dance. Famous alongside Ahmed Eid, former president of the Football Association, after the decisive victory over the Japanese national team 1-0 in Jeddah.
