Defender Youssef Ayman, a player for the Qatari Al-Duhail team, was linked to moving to Al-Ahly during the summer transfer period to strengthen the defensive line in the next season, especially since the African champion is linked to many challenges, whether local, continental or global.
The official page of the Qatari Al-Kass Channel revealed that the 25-year-old is close to moving to Al-Ahly in the summer transfer period on loan.
A source in Al-Ahly confirmed the news on “Al-Kass Channel” and revealed to “Yalla Koura” today, Saturday, the admiration of Red Castle officials for the Egyptian player who has Qatari nationality, stressing that the Swiss Marcel Koller is the one who will have the last word before the deal is officially settled. Youssef Ayman’s potential deal comes in light of Marcel Kohler’s desire to strengthen the defensive side due to the injuries the team suffered in the back line, in addition to European press reports about the possibility of Mohamed Abdel Moneim leaving to either the French or Turkish league.
Speaking of the Youssef Ayman deal, there are many advantages about the player, starting with the fact that he will be treated as a local player due to his Egyptian nationality.
This advantage comes in light of the presence of five foreign players, and here it means that it is not possible to include a new foreign player due to the regulations of the Egyptian Football Association not to register only five foreign players unless one of the five is dispensed with, and they are: (Ali Maaloul – Aliou Dieng – Reda Selim – Percy Tow – Anthony Modest).
The Qatari national team player, at the technical level, has the ability to participate in the defender positions as well as the right back, and here he will support this front, which includes the trio: Mohamed Hani – Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed and Khaled Abdel Fattah.
He has a great height, specifically 190 cm. He started his career through the Spire Academy before moving to the Al-Duhail team in the summer of 2017, then he went through many experiences on loan.
“Ayman” played for the Belgian club Eupen under 21 years on loan, then with Al Sailiya and Qatar clubs before officially settling with Al Duhail in the summer of 2022.
The defender of Egyptian origins participated with Al-Duhail in the current season (2023-2024) in (23 matches), during which he scored two goals and assisted one, and in total he participated in (58 matches) to score five goals.
At the international level, Youssef Ayman participated with the “Al-Anabi” national team in five matches, as his international career began last year, specifically against the Jamaica national team in a friendly match.
The Qatari international was not present in the recent Asian Cup, which was organized by Qatar and ended with Al-Anabi winning the tournament at the expense of the Jordanian national team with a score of (3-1).
