Media reports revealed the reason why the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (the Moroccan Football Federation) did not congratulate Reda Slim, the Al-Ahly player, after achieving the African Champions League title last Saturday, unlike what happened with a number of “Atlas Lions” players.
On Saturday, several Moroccan players were crowned with various local and continental titles, led by Reda Slim with Al-Ahly, along with Amin Adly (German Cup with Bayer Leverkusen), Sofiane Rahimi (AFC Champions League with Al-Ain, UAE), and Sofiane Amrabat (FA Cup with Manchester United). And Achraf Hakimi (French Cup with Paris Saint-Germain).
The Moroccan Football Federation, through its official account on the Instagram platform, congratulated the quartet, Amin Adly, Sofiane Rahimi, Sofiane Amrabat, and Achraf Hakimi, which did not happen with Reda Slim.
According to the Moroccan “sport.le360” website, the Moroccan League did not congratulate Reda Slim because he is not a player in the national team, unlike the aforementioned quartet.
It is worth noting that Reda Slim, a former Royal Army player, played one match with the Moroccan national team, and has not yet represented the first team in any match.
