Iyad Al-Asqalani, a professional in the Russian ranks of Rostov, has been linked to moving to Al-Ahly club during the upcoming summer transfer period.
The Rostov Club had previously confirmed on Koura Night that it had not received any official or friendly communications or offers from Al-Ahly or any other club to acquire Iyad Al-Asqalani. See the details. from here
A source said in exclusive statements to Laila Koura that Al-Ahly did not obtain Al-Asqalani’s signature, but communications took place to find out the player’s position.
He explained: “Marcel Koller, the team’s coach, requested the inclusion of two players to support the heart of the defense in the upcoming summer transfer period, and a list was presented to him, including Mustafa Al-Ash and Mohamed Ismail, players of Z, and Iyad Al-Asqalani and Mohamed Maghrebi, the team’s defender loaned to Smouha Club.”
The source confirmed in his statements: “We are waiting for Marcel Kohler’s position on this matter, and if he requests the inclusion of the player, we will begin direct negotiations with his club, especially in light of the player’s initial agreement to move to Al-Ahly.”
Al-Ahly Club will meet its Tanzanian counterpart, Simba, at eight o’clock in the evening today, Friday, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the African Champions League.
