Zizou was injured after a collision with Karim Nedved, Al-Ahly midfielder, in stoppage time of the first half.
Zizou was unable to complete the match due to injury, so he was replaced between the two halves of the match, and Shikabala was brought on instead.
Zamalek had lost the Egypt Cup title, after being defeated by its traditional rival, Al-Ahly, with two unanswered goals, scored by Emam Ashour and Mohamed Magdy Afsha.
