Sergey Nikiforov, spokesman for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, announced on Monday that the latter will participate in the next G7 summit scheduled for June in Italy, either online or in person.
Nikiforov told Ukrainian television: “I cannot confirm or deny the president’s physical participation in the G7 summit, but in any case he will participate, whether online or in person.”
Means of using interest on frozen Russian assets to provide new aid to Ukraine will be among the main discussion points on the agenda of the summit, which will be held in southern Italy from June 13 to June 15.
In recent days, Zelensky has made several foreign visits to secure support before the summit on Ukraine scheduled for June 15 and 16 in Switzerland, to which Russia was not invited.
Zelensky visited several European capitals and also went to Singapore and the Philippines.
