The 24th round of the Premier League was held today (Saturday), when Hapoel Jerusalem hosted Bnei Rayna at the Teddy Stadium and continued its wonderful period when it achieved a small but precious 0:1 against Sharon Mimar’s trainees.

The game opened with Jerusalem’s control, turned around when the visitor took the reins and managed to get great opportunities by Loui Khilaf and Kays Ghanem who provided misses from outside the box, but the momentum returned to Jerusalem when Sheila Doin stepped up wonderfully to Ohad Almagor’s lift in the 30th minute and scored the only goal of the game.

Reina started the second half with a storm and pressed the goal of Nadav Zamir in order to get the equalizer, but was unable to get any real opportunities and instead saw Matan Hozaz release a tremendous kick from a distance, and Osvaldo Capita endanger the goal, but they were also unable to find the net and settled for -0:1 small big.

Ziv Aryeh’s team now continues in the good form it is in, when it records a fifth game in the league without a loss, in which it recorded three wins and another two draws, and now stands in eighth place, only three points from its opponent who is in sixth and hopes to make a last effort to screw into the upper playoffs when it hosts Hapoel Tel Aviv in the next cycle, when even before that they will meet Maccabi Netanya in the round of 16 of the State Cup.

Sharon Mimar’s boys, on the other hand, continue the bad period with only one victory in the last eight games in all formats (seven in the league), including a painful elimination from the state cup, and will hope to surprise Maccabi Haifa at home in the next round in order to gain confidence and possibly secure the top playoffs.
