Expect a soggy St. Patrick’s Day

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – There will be a nearly 100% chance of showers/storms today, with rain heavy at times, highs cooler in the lower 70s. The severe threat has migrated south of the I-10 corridor and south of Baton Rouge, at a level one marginal risk.

The WPC has two inches or so possible the next seven days, mostly falling today/tonight.

We should clear everything out tonight and be drier by Monday AM. Tuesday will be the first official day of Spring, and wouldn’t you know it, it will feel more like winter!

The extended forecast shows lows starting in the upper 30s Tuesday AM with highs in the mid 60s. We’ll be dry Monday through Wednesday, with Thursday being the next rain chance.
