The 2024 MG 5 family sedan is the cheapest Zero car offered by the Chinese brand in Egypt, and it is offered with two categories of equipment at an official price starting at 830 thousand pounds this April.
Prices for the MG 5 start this month at 830,000 pounds for the first category, and 900,000 pounds for the second category, which is more equipped.
Detailed specifications of the new MG 5 in the Egyptian market:
The 2024 MG5 is based on a 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1,500 cc, generating 120 horsepower and 150 Newton meters of torque at 4,500 rpm, along with a CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
The MG5 was 4.60 meters long with a wheelbase of 2.68 meters while being 1.81 meters wide and 1.48 meters high.
The car received as standard ABS, EBD, and ESP systems for electronic stability control, with CBC for braking support inside corners, TCS for traction control, HHC for balance support while climbing slopes, BDW for drying brake discs in the rain, in addition to monitoring tire pressure, and two airbags in the front for the driver and front passenger.
While the higher categories get a speed-sensitive steering system, electric hand brakes, and side and curtain airbags.
The car comes standard with halogen headlights with light sensors, electric side mirrors, cruise control, a 4-speaker audio system that supports Bluetooth, and 15-inch steel wheels.
While the second category additions included 16-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, rear parking sensors with a camera, automatic air conditioning, a button to start the engine, along with leather trim for the steering wheel, and an 8-inch central screen that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a USB port.
As for the third category, it was launched with a larger 10-inch screen, a smart key, electric leather front seats with heaters, a sunroof, electric mirrors, 360-degree cameras, and LED headlights.
