Books – Marwan Al-Tayeb:

The artist, Yousra El Lozy, raised questions from many social media users about the reason behind wearing white clothes at her mother’s funeral, which was held on Friday afternoon from the Omar Makram Mosque, in the presence of art and media stars.

Yousra Al-Lawzi appeared immediately upon her arrival accompanied by her mother’s body, wearing white clothes, amid questions about her not wearing black, which is the custom to wear whether at funerals or mourning ceremonies.

Yousra Al-Lawzi was a guest on the “Ink Secret” program, presenting Asma Ibrahim in a previous episode following the death of her father. During the episode, she revealed the secret behind her wearing white clothes at his funeral and commented: “Is this something wrong when someone wears white at a funeral? I am my mother.” Syria and the Levant do not all wear black at their wedding, they wear dark clothing, but they must break it as needed.”

She added: “And when a person dies, he feels relieved, as much as death is difficult and brutal, but for me, white is a color with positivity. I feel that white is more comfortable at this time and that this color calms the nerves more. The person is influenced by her mother and grandmother, and I always saw my mother wearing white at the funeral.” .

A large number of stars were keen to attend the funeral of the artist Yousra El Lozy’s mother, including the artist Donia Samir Ghanem, the artist Mervat Amin, the artist Iyad Nassar, the artist Ruby, and the artist Farah Youssef.

Ahmed Al-Lawzi, the brother of the artist Yousra Al-Lawzi, announced the death of his mother through a post on his official Facebook account and commented: “Sawsan went to Mahmoud.” He revealed that the body will be held at the Anglo Hospital in Zamalek, and the family will receive condolences at the deceased’s home in Zamalek from Friday to next Sunday.
