Giannis Antetokounmpo back for Bucks against Warriors

SAN FRANCISCO — Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is playing in the Milwaukee Bucks‘ game Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors.

Antetokounmpo returned to the lineup after sitting out Milwaukee’s last game Monday against the LA Clippers because of a left Achilles injury. He participated in shootaround and his usual pregame routine without issue prior to Wednesday’s game, and coach Doc Rivers said he was cleared to play without restrictions.

“There’s really no minutes restrictions, but we want to be smart tonight for sure,” Rivers said before the game.

Antetokounmpo entered averaging 30.8 points on a career-best 61.9% shooting in 59 games this season.

Despite Antetokounmpo’s absence Monday, the Bucks extended their winning streak to six games, their longest winning streak since Rivers took over as coach in January.
