Watch.. Juventus wins the Italian Cup for the 15th time in its history | sports

Juventus won the Italian Cup by defeating Atalanta 1-0 in the final match held on Wednesday evening.

Dusan Vlahovic scored the only goal for Juventus 4 minutes after the start of the match, taking advantage of a pass from his colleague Andrea Cambiasso.

Vlahovic scored with a second goal in the 73rd minute, but video technology intervened to cancel the goal due to the Serbian striker being offside.

The atmosphere of the match heated up in the final minutes, as the right post prevented Atalanta from scoring the equalizer in the 84th minute by blocking Nigerian Ademola Lookman’s shot.

Four minutes later, Juventus player Fabio Meretti hit a powerful ball that bounced off the crossbar.

Nerves were tense in the last moments at the Olimpico Stadium, and the referee of the match showed a red card to Massimiliano Allegri, the Juventus coach, in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

But the team nicknamed “The Old Lady” maintained its superiority to clinch the Italian Cup title for the 15th time in its history and the second at the expense of Atalanta after defeating them 2-1 in the final match of 2021.

Juventus has become the club that has won the most Italian Cup titles, having reached the final 22 times.

As for Atalanta, it was content with its only Italian Cup title, which it won in 1963, while it lost the final for the fifth time in 1987, 1996, 2019, 2021, and 2024.
