A short while ago, the body of Dr. Hisham Arafat, former Minister of Transport, arrived at the Sayyida Nafisa Mosque in Cairo, for his funeral to his final resting place in the family cemetery.
The funeral prayer was attended by: Alaa Fahmy, former Minister of Transport, Mohamed Saafan, former Minister of Manpower, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aty, former Minister of Irrigation, General Khaled Abdel-Al, Governor of Cairo, Dr. Hisham Tawfiq, Minister of the Business Sector, in addition to a large number. From past and present officials.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Hisham Arafat, the former Minister of Transport, died yesterday, Wednesday, after a struggle with illness.
Dr. Hisham Arafat served as Minister of Transport from February 2017 until February 2019, and he has conducted numerous researches on developing the transportation system in Egypt and the Arab countries.
Hisham Arafat obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Ain Shams University in 1985. He obtained a master’s degree from the same university in 1991. He obtained his doctorate from Ain Shams University and the University of Braunschweig, Germany.
